On a non-makeup note...Adult Coloring Books
Ok so I swear that this will be one of the only non-makeup related posts that I will EVER post, but these are pretty awesome, so I had to share. As probably all of you know, adult coloring books are the newest "fad". Some of you may think they are stupid, some may not care, and the others already have a few. I am part of the latter. I now have three. One cheaper one from Hautelook (one of my favorite websites), and two by Johanna Basford that are absolutely beautiful. The two by Johanna Basford are the ones that I am going to share today.
1. The Lost Ocean $10.17, Amazon
This was the first book I heard about by Basford. My friend, Skyler, got this as a gift from her boyfriend for Christmas. My mom had a gift certificate to the local bookstore, so that's when I finally picked it up, along with the other one I have.
2. The Secret Garden $9.97, Amazon
As you can see, I already started coloring this one. I believe this is the first one by the author. Just like The Lost Ocean, it is gorgeous.
3. Prismacolor Colored Pencils
I picked up the 24 pack Premier Colored Pencils because I wanted something better than my crayola ones. I also got an awesome deal. Right now until the end of March, Staples is doing price matching. So I saved $10.
So I decided to try out the coloring book trend because I heard it can be really good for anxiety. I found that it really does help. It keeps my mind busy. Plus it is really fun! These two books I just got are absolutely gorgeous and so intricate. The author also has one called The Enchanted Forest, which is like a fairytale kind of one, and I can't wait to get it!
